We went to Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) to welcome home our father who had just arrived from Singapore. DMIA is located inside the compounds of Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. It’s much nearer than NAIA, which is a great thing for us who are far from Manila.
This time, my mother drove the car. I think she is still not used in driving at expressways and so we usually ask our uncles to do us the favor. It’s amazing to see that she’s gaining more experience but I wasn’t able to judge her driving since I was asleep the whole time.
It was really a hot afternoon. We arrived an hour earlier for the arrival of the airplane so we spent the waiting time with food. We bought goto (type of Filipino congee with beef stripes) and noodles. The plane had just arrived after we finished eating. After a few minutes, our father came out with his huge luggage.
Then we went straight home. During the trip, I took my father’s camera and captured some lovely photos of the scenery. Gosh, I really love photography.
This must be an aftermath of several lahar and lava flows from the 1990 Mt. Pinatubo eruption.
